It is sometimes very hard to say good-bye to folks you only met several days before. David & Carol-Ann came into our lives as guests, but today left as family. We enjoyed them as much as they enjoyed us and the Hoyt House. Late nights sitting at the bar, discussing all sorts of things. David a deep sea diver, pilot, camera man, yachtsmen, an expert on tectonic plates formation, helped with the BP oil spill, and a black belt. He was just well amazing with a British accent to boot. His wife Carol-Ann warm, funny full of life and and adventure, looking for another career but just can’t put her finger on it. Her & I talked about well everything.
As innkeeper’s we come in and out of peoples lives celebrating moments of joy and happiness. We have a wonderful job. Love it. Thank you to all the folks that have come through our doors and allowed us to be apart of their memories.

The Hoyt House enjoyed our Red Hat Ladies group for English Tea. Purple & Red was the dress of choice. They all enjoyed Kate’s Tea featuring a freshly made scone & crumpet with fresh fruit, English clotted cream and jam. We so loved to see the outfits and glamour of the women that came to the house.

Amelia Island Main Beach is open with a great new concept from Sandy Bottoms Bar & Grill. They new have tables and chairs on the Beach! Myrta & I had Killer Whale on tap and some wonderful appetizers. The picture is the main beach from where we were sitting. People were swimming and the waves were awesome. A great treat for us and our guests. A must do when on Amelia Island.
