English Tea at The Hoyt House

The Hoyt House Bed & Breakfast is pleased to offer English Tea from 12:30pm to 3pm daily Wednesday through Sunday to the public and staying guests. We have put together an amazing and authentic menu with scones & freshly made crumpets, jams & clotted cream flown in from England. A variety of tea sandwiches, Salmon Mousse pinwheels, truffled mushroom in filo and fresh made fruit tartlets just to name a few. We also have a cheese & cracker tray with pate and tea sandwiches. Guests will pick from a choice of eight loose teas served in their very own tea pot from around the world. Enjoy an authentic Bellini Cocktail, Bloody Mary, Mimosa or Classic Champagne & Strawberries before your tea and crumpets is served on a  beautiful silver three tier tray. Reservations are required. Monday & Tuesday is available for private tea parties for 8 or more. Prices vary from 9.95pp to 22.95 pp with a special Tea for Two at 39.95. A lovely affair for those who want to enjoy Tea & Crumpets in a 105 year old Victorian Mansion.

Amelia Island Murder Mystery

Murder Mystery Dinner at The Hoyt House now as three more Killer Murder Mystery Weekends for you all to enjoy. We had a fabulous time on our first one, so we have put together three more dates this year. April 1-2, October 29-30th, December 30-31, 2011. We are thinking that the Halloween Murder Mystery you will get who you will be early and be dressed for the Murder. Best dressed couple receives Two Nights on our Yacht Nice Aft for all our Murder Mystery Dinners. New Year’s Eve Murder Weekend will be a special event, where the roaring 20’s will be the theme. Murder Mystery Success

We had a fabulous time hosting our first Murder Mystery Weekend. All the guests enjoyed the ghost tour Friday Night and Saturday Night the actors and guests really got into the moment. Especially Frank Sinatra, and he sounded just like him! Everyone exchanged emails and addresses. Dinner was great with Crab Bisque Soup and Gourmet Salad, Stuffed Rock Cornish Hens and finally Chocolate Ganache Cake. Take a look at some of the pictures. Christmas Buffet

It was wonderful having our first Christmas at The Hoyt House. Everyone enjoyed the house, the food and of course Breakfast. Our cocktail hour has been enhanced since we now have a full bar and our guests enjoyed that Sunday Bloody Mary Special. Can’t wait for next year. We are already putting together an event to remember for 2011. I missed my family and friends in New Jersey and lox and bagel Christmas morning. The dogs got some Christmas treats too. Thank you to all who came to spend Chrsitmas with us and we hope to see you next year.

We all need a little pampering and rest. No cooking on this weekend getaway for Ladies Only. Champagne on arrival with an amazing presentation. Munchies basket in your room to satisfy any craving your may have. Friday Night let your pampered package begin at 6 to 9pm with a private Hoyt House only Exclusive opening of Magna’s Spa where you chose two 1/2 hour treatments and enjoy our Champagne Cocktail Party at Magna’s. Pajama’s are required for breakfast on Saturday served from 9-11am.  Take the Amelia Island Sunset River Cruise and then Dinner at Espana where a special menu is created only for the Hoyt House Ladies. Walk to the Fantastic Fudge after dinner and use your coupon to have your favorite Ice Cream or wedge of Fresh Fudge. Minimum of 10 ladies required, so get your friends together and make some new friends at The Hoyt House. All inclusive package including your room  is 495.00 per person for two fun filled nights. Valentine’s Day to Remember

The Hoyt House is the place to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Love & Romance will be in the air. Start off with a special glass of Champagne and strawberries upon arrival. Dinner on Saturday Night the 13th will be tables of two with a four course love menu. Red will be the theme, Lobster Bisque Soup in Bread Bowls to start. Salad with Edible Flowers in a Raspberry Vinaigrette. Your choice entree of Seafood Pasta or Filet Mignon (choose at time of booking) and to finish the evening with Red Velvet Cake. Coffee and Tea and at 10pm meet us outside for Smore’s over the fire pit. Libations will be available for purchase. We will supply everything but the appetite. Optional in room massage will be available and should be requested at time of booking.  You can always add flowers and special balloons or a carriage ride through the Historic District. Just let us know and we will take care of everything. This is a couples/Adult 25 and over Weekend only. Two Night Minimum required.
