Wish they had more stars to give this inn. The host feels like family, the house is impecable, the attention to every detail is clearly noticeable and the pool perfect for a late evening swim. We are already calculating when we can return!!

Been to a lot of B&B’s and this one did not disappoint. Beautiful house and room was nice size. Breakfast was great and unique in that you had a choice of entree. Our hosts were very helpful and super nice. They have a really nice pool which was great to relax in after being out and about all day. Would highly recommend.

The Hoyt House lived up to our expectations with lovely accommodations in the Oliver Room. From our initial call to our sad goodbyes, Tracy and Ricky were gracious in every way! Our room was very spacious, beautifully decorated, well located away from the street noise and hugely convenient. Delicious warm cookies greeted us in our room at check-in with wine and cheese every night for cocktail hour. Tracy’s culinary skills delighted us every morning and Ricky was as attentive as one could ask. This is so well located that you can walk to downtown AND be at the beach is just a few minutes. This was our first visit to Amelia Island from south Florida and we fell in love with the area. Large enough to give you options but small enough to be the quaint town of what most of Florida was in years gone by. We will return and will look forward to our next respite by the sea. Lots of belly rubs and kisses to Mr. B!

What can I even begin to say to capture the beauty, charm, and hospitality we enjoyed at the Hoyt House?

The Inn is beautiful… historic, lovely, and a short walk from the best of Historic Downtown Fernandina. Tracy and Ricky are delightful, quintessential hosts who will make you feel right at home.

We came in for a long Memorial Day weekend. The breakfasts… Tracy is a phenomenal cook. The daily pastries, the Everything but the Kitchen Sink Fritatta, the homemade cinnamon rolls, the daily griddle cake special. The other guests were friendly and we enjoyed the morning conversations around the table. I cannot begin to explain how delicious all of Tracy’s dishes were. Ricky served us every morning, and during cocktail hour in the on site pub.

For the nightly cocktail hour, they serve both red and white wine and are serve yourself on the table in the foyer. There are beers in the pub and a small menu sitting on the high top tables.

We walked downtown every evening for dinner. During the day, we used the bikes onsite to ride to Fernandina Beach or to Fort Clinch.

We can’t wait to return for another trip soon and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on Amelia. It made for a perfect, romantic getaway in the best part of the island.
